Hey everyone! I am so glad to be blogging again. I finally have a better work schedule that allows me to pursue my creative outlets and love for fashion!

As summer is quickly approaching, it seems like I have so many weekend activities going on and never enough time to plan my outfits accordingly. In honor of hump day, I decided to put together one of my favorite out-and-about looks for y’all. I mean, the weekend is almost here, right?

Last weekend, I was in Fort Worth visiting friends and had to stop by my favorite taco shop, Salsa Limon. If you live in Fort Worth or Dallas this is a MUST casual dining spot. I fell in love with it in college (ask my roommates) and go every time I visit Fort Worth. I am holding their delicious Horchata, which is basically like a decaffeinated chi tea latte & so delicious!

I have on the most comfortable shirt from H&M that I purchased from the Houston Galleria location. I am wearing a size L, because it had a boxy fit and was a little short for my liking. But let’s be honest, H&M sizing is all over the place. Such a love hate because I am typically a size S (but maybe not after eating tacos 😉 ). This shirt seems to be sold out online, but I have linked one very similar below. Such a bummer because I literally JUST bought it and want it in more colors! It would be perfect with shorts and is great to throw on. It also is more fun than “just your average t-shirt.”

Also, we have to talk about these jeans. I am in love with them. J brand once again has saved the day for me. Purchased them at the New Saks Houston Galleria (that might need to be a post in itself) & have fallen in love with them! They have a “step hem” which means they are cropped in the front, but long in the back showing the actual hem. As I am writing this, I am thinking – “mullet hem (lolz)?” They are distressed but not too crazy. I think you could totally get away with wearing them to work on casual Friday! I love these shoes but they are last season (eek) however, I have some linked that are very similar. These jeans look great with wedges, heels, flats, and the infamous “white sneaker trend.” I will have more on these jeans soon because I wear them every chance I get. 🙂

Kristen, or known by her friend's as "Byrdie," is an ambitious twenty-something currently living in Houston, TX. Before pursuing her Master's, she graduated from Texas Christian University with a Fashion Merchandising Degree. Since graduating she has had wonderful opportunities with Stanley Korshak, Academy Sports + Outdoors, and Francesca's. Her love of Fashion couples with her desire to help other's in need -- whether it's Fashion advice, or just a friend that needs help, she is always willing to lend a hand to others. In her spare time, she can most likely be found at any place that serves Mexican food, walking her maltese pups, or volunteering at the Houston Junior League. While she never thought writing was her "thing," she was encouraged to start writing her own blog when she interned for a blogger while at TCU. Kristen has a lot of things to say, and wants to spread her love of Fashion to friends and followers everywhere!
