Hey y’all!

When I first started my blog, I tried to think of different ways that I like to express my style. I thought to myself, “besides work, where do I go the most each week?” Of course, I thought of the only place I get up and go to before work (besides back to bed). Anyone else guilty of hitting the snooze button 3 or 4 times, haha? I have been going to Revolution Studio for spin classes since 2014 and I am coming up on my 67th ride! If you think about it, that’s a lot of spin classes and early mornings! It has been quite the struggle for this natural born night owl. Although, it has been a challenge, getting up to go to my spin class motivates me to start my day on the right foot.

After each class ends, I always feel empowered to keep working hard towards my goals. I also like that the instructors always refer to ANY goal. This is not just how well you do in class, but putting in 110% in all that you do each day. I also love that this inspirational message is not just given by any instructors in particular, but this is embodied by the whole organization. The goal is to make you feel empowered and know that you are creating your best self! Just as it says on their website, “INSPIRED. EMPOWERED. TRANSFORMED.” This is how you should feel after leaving each class. I know I certainly do! Plus, it helps when I have my good friend join me for our early morning workouts! It also is the perfect time to see each other for just a second before we rush off to work. We even hold each other accountable and remind each other how good our workout is going to feel when its all said and done. How could you not love to start your day feeling this way and seeing your bestie?

Not only did I want to share my experience at Revolution Studio with my fun fashion followers, but I wanted to introduce y’all to some of their wonderful workout gear! If you are an avid spinner like me, then you will love these spin shoes. I have a pair of the good ol’fashion cycle shoes , but after trying on the Tiem cycle shoes , I don’t think I could own a more comfortable spin shoe! They feel just like tennis shoes and without that “tap shoe” sound.  Don’t get me wrong, I do love a good tap dance ;). They are also a pretty fair price considering the cost of regular cycle shoes. Be sure to check them out online (linked below) and if you are in the Houston area, go to Rev to try them on! Trust me, you will fall in love!

Also, they offer some adorable tanks and t-shirts that are perfect for their spin classes or yoga. The material on all of their shirts is so soft that you could even wear them when not working-out! A lot of their garments are made with mostly supima cotton or a cotton/ polyester blend. This keeps you comfortable while working-out or running errands around town. Perfect fabric combinations to beat the Houston heat!  I especially loved this one below that says, “Namaste In The Saddle.” So clever, and perfect for all my spin classes! These are only available in their store, not online, so if you are in the Houston area, be sure to check out their super cute merchandise!

My leggings are from lululemon. They are my FAVORITE pair. I got them a few months ago, but have some similar ones linked below. I really like them because they don’t fall down while you are exercising. This is really important to me especially because I don’t have time to keep adjusting my outfit while I am “tapping it back!” Also, did any of y’all notice that they are a “bird feather” pattern? 😉 Yes, I of course bought those on purpose, but they truly are the comfiest pair.

I hope this post not only helps you find some new great workout gear and spin shoes, but inspires you to keep giving it 110% everyday! Not only am I happy to share fashion advice, I love to give workout suggestions. Remember, you have to do what inspires YOU to get out of bed everyday! If you are interested in Revolution Studio, also feel free to reach out to me! I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I did writing it.

  1. Well hey, local Texan 😉 As a fellow spin-addict (never tried Revolution, do they have a Dallas location?) I’ve been looking for a pair of spin shoes to call my own. Definitely going to check out Tiem! Thanks for the recommendation!

    1. Hey, Kelsey! Thanks for dropping in! I wish they had a Dallas location! Just Houston for now. You should definitely try out these spin shoes! I almost wore them out of the spin studio when we were done taking pictures! They were so comfortable I almost forgot they weren’t my shoes, haha!

  2. You’re too cute Kristen! I love your namaste in the saddle shirt! And I love spin classes. They definitely kick your butt. I have to get back into doing spin and mixing it up since I’m doing BBG. This makes me want to take a spin class now!!

    1. Thank you, Melissa! Isn’t that shirt so fun? I love it! Yesss, spin is such a good workout and I love BBG, too! I like to switch up between both since they both can target different things for sure 🙂

    1. It is the only way I will get a workout in! I use to work really late nights so my only option was to go in the morning, and now I love it! It takes a while getting use to, but it is nice to have it out of the way! 🙂
