What a week it has been! The 4th was such a blast that I was definitely not ready to get back to work! Did anyone else have a two day week? Of course, now that it is Friday, I feel energized to start a new work week! However, I really think that I am just excited for the weekend!
On my time off, I had a chance to explore a little bit more of my hometown! There are so many different parts of Houston that it’s an endless adventure of exploring new places! Even though I have lived here my whole life, I still seem to get lost. However, on this particular adventure, I knew where I was going. I wanted to explore some of the awesome murals downtown and stumbled upon this Houston mural!
I love that this mural is colorful just like our city. Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the world and I like how this mural captures that sense. I am not much one for graffiti, as I was taught it is technically vandalism (HAHA) 😂, but I think this mural is one of the coolest I have ever seen!
My blouse is 50% off and has been such a fun top to wear this spring and summer! It was a little warm when I was pictured wearing it, but it is the perfect blouse for dinner or to transition into fall. Don’t you just love the little bow tie detail on the arms? This blouse is also from one of my favorite new stores in the River Oaks Shopping Center. I am wearing this blouse in a size 4 and fits true to size. It also comes in a very light pink/ nude color called “biscuit” that would look so adorable on as well! I am also wearing my infamous jeans (again). Oh, how I love the step hem in this pair of jeans! They are just edgy enough for this preppy girl! My purse is unfortunately no longer available, but I have another one linked that is similar. I love this bag because you can wear it as a clutch or a cross-body. Lastly, I have been wearing these blue earrings on repeat all summer. They are the perfect statement piece, and are very light weight. They also come in several different colors. My outfit details are shown below.
READY. SET. SHOP.
Have you ever been to this spot in Houston before? Exploring this part of Houston has now made me more interested to find more street art and graffiti murals. I also stumbled upon another great mural downtown during my visit to the Houston mural. Can you guess which one it is? Stay tuned for a post coming soon on more awesome street art!
I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!
