What a week it has been! Before this year, I always felt like things slowed down a bit in the summer. However, with so many weddings and travel there is something constantly going on. It is a good reminder that I need to get more organized. I keep hearing about Erin Condren’s planners and now have my eye on this Life Planner. A lot of my friend’s in college had one and always thought they were so cute! I already had a planner I had been using at the time, so I never thought to look into purchasing one. However, now that my life is a little bit more hectic, that planner I had in college is long gone and I definitely need a new one. My iPhone calendar just doesn’t cut it! Does anyone have a planner they love? I would love any suggestions before I make my final purchase.
Do you remember my insta story from last week? I had just gotten this adorable Parker New York dress. Parker is one of my favorite brands and I had to take advantage of their awesome 4th of July sale! If you don’t follow me on instagram, make sure to follow me on my handle, @word2thabyrdblog for updates on my blog! I think this is the perfect dress for summer and it transitions into fall (at least for us Texans)! I love this dress paired with a strappy heel (pictured below) and it is so adorable paired with booties for fall. I have even worn it with flats to work! I especially love the drop waist hem and the fluttery sleeves. There is just enough ruffle on the sleeves that it is not overpowering. This is another very versatile piece to add to your closet. I love outfits that you can wear to several occasions, don’t you? Most of my purchasing decisions are rooted from this and help me to my final purchasing decisions. It is such a hard life loving clothes ;). PS – this dress is still on sale! Keep checking back because it may even get more discounted closer to the end of July when they bring in new items to their collection.
Lastly, I am so excited to share with you the adorable earrings I am wearing. They are from my friend’s new boutique in Dallas’s Highland Park Village called Miron Crosby. Miron Crosby is an eclectic western boot brand offering an assortment of one of a kind boots. Handmade in Mercedes, Texas, you can even customize your own design and add an adorable message inside of your fresh new kicks! I plan on doing a whole post covering Miron Crosby in the future. These earrings are sold at Miron Crosby by Mignonne Gavigan. I love them because not only are they bird wings, (so fitting for my nickname) they are so adorable and light weight. I also haven’t ever seen anything like these earrings and love special pieces. They come in every color under the sun, and was so hard to chose just one pair! I know I will be back soon getting my second pair. If you are in Dallas, don’t forget to stop by their awesome boutique!
